The natural disasters prevented me from sharing my trip to Bali with you all... I only had the internet connected last night after the rewiring. My Macbook hasn't been turned on in 6 weeks.
You've probably seen the post about Ayana Resort but there's so much more to Bali. It's hard to put into words. In the west, we are taught to think that someone wants something when they're being nice. In Bali everyone is always nice. It takes a while getting used to. And you can't wipe the smile from their face.
There are amazing bars, restaurants and resorts. Sadly the Balinese architecture is making way for the modern luxuries.
5 days wasn't nearly enough. Cannot wait to go back.

Chunky Knit
I've been eyeing off this Marant chunky sweater for winter... something to wear with a leather skirt, jeans, black minis and boots. Except it was sold out and about AUD320.
Suppose this River Island sweater will have to do. AUD63
LMFF kicks off..
I will be blogging from 10 shows during LMFF - street style, runway - the lot! I'm going to have to be very organised to make it all happen and bring my readers the best coverage. Stay tuned!
There are many events throughout the week, including some fabulous events that are free to the public.
This afternoon at 4.30pm get down to Fed Square for the Forever New parade!
Held at Federation Square, the show will be opened by Melbourne's rising ballet stars dancing to Tchaikovsky's epic Swan Lake masterpiece.
Australia's leading catwalk models will then showcase the Autumn/ Winter Collections, „Enchanted Princess" and “Bohemian Rhapsody”, inspired by theatrical ballet and modern vintage themes.
Girls across the globe will love this season's ballet revival trend, as well as other stylish new looks from Melbourne's own Forever New. This exciting event is one of only a few fashion parades in the LMFF schedule, which is FREE and open to the public.

Wishful Wednesday
It's been a long and hard week and it's only Wednesday morning. There is just so much going on and I don't really like to write when I'm feeling blue. Joy is for sharing and I'm sure this anxiety and stress will pass with time. The phone makes me jumpy, no amount of sleep is enough... I cannot find a book shelf that's the right size for the corner so my books are languishing in boxes. A pet hate. Weeks after moving in there's still things in boxes. And they're some of my favourite things. The custom made dining table is taking far too long. As is the couch. The old furniture is doing the lovely open space no justice at all.
Some inspiration and wishes this Wednesday includes...
Fall and winter foot wear. After 4 years of freezing feet, I think I'm sorted for the upcoming winter. The below black booties tempted me in the nude suede, but I think the black leather is a smarter option. Warm, dry feet here I come. Not to mention how surprisingly comfortable they are.

Speaking of beige suede, I couldn't resist these for the weekends. Teamed with floral skirts, tights and oversized knits/aviator jackets.
After much searching for a floral mini skirt for winter, I find one on ASOS for £9.00 and free shipping! Did someone say it's meant to be??
My mum hasn't been to visit in almost 18 months. She's coming in 3 weeks and I'm petrified. She's very particular about everything including the way I fold my tea towels, the order in which I hang up my clothes on the line, the colour of my nail polish... just to name a few. I think I need to go into domestic lock down to prepare for her arrival. And I still haven't touched my front garden, which needs a LOT of work. Can someone send me their gardener and pool boy, please? Or more realistically, provide me some useful advise for my first (winter) front garden.
An autumn trip to the Barossa Valley is locked in.. I cannot wait until May. Better start putting my play money away for some serious bottles of wine to bring home...
Kisses x

Last days of summer...
I loved everything about this past weekend. Not being in Melbourne. Being with my parents. Seeing my brother. Getting cuddles from our dog. Eating figs from our back yard. Sunbaking. Swimming in the ocean.. so warm that I spent over an hour in the water body surfing and ducking under waves.
Wish summer lasted forever.

Edge of Forever: Anja Rubik for Vogue Australia
I was giddy with delight when I found out late last year that Anja Rubik was coming to Australia with her now fiance Sasa Knezevic to shoot for Vogue Australia. Aussie Vogue has long been ridiculed for reprinting international covers some months later, but of late the originality has really picked up.
And Anja has not disappointed. I raced to the newsagent first thing yesterday and am still adoring every one of these shots.
Bravo Vogue Australia.

Wishful Wednesday
How quickly this year is already flying. Summer is now behind us - not that we even had one - (apparently this past summer was the wettest in Melbourne on record as well as the 6th coldest - no wonder the white linen dress is sitting unworn).
My new home is beginning to take shape, even though there's still plenty of work to do. Hoping to return to regular post writing/return visits shortly.
Haven't done a Wishful Wednesday post in a long time, so here's to returning to old ways.

I wish the impossible task of finding a new coat for winter was a little bit easier. Kicking myself for not getting the perfect camel coat from Zara when I was overseas at Christmas.
Wishing for an occasion to dress up.
Already missing summer. Had such a perfect weekend at the beach.. post coming up very soon.
I've had this quote saved on my computer for a while now.. His alleged recent actions are very distressing though.
