Nearly at 100 followers...giveaway!

It's been a fun year of (regular) blogging and without the readership, comments and followers and the interaction and friendships I've formed with so many people none of this would be possible!  Thank you all so much!

To celebrate almost reaching 100 followers (and the fact that I get 3,000+ unique readers a month), thanks to our friends at Harper's Bazaar Australia I am giving away a copy of their "Gold Class" shopping book (RRP @19.95) as well as a copy of the November issue of the magazine, which will feature the winner and the runner up of Australia's Next Top Model which was recently, and contravercially announced.

You can choose the cover you like!

Hopefully by the time the give away winner is announced I will be at 100+ followers! YAY

Now the simple rules are as follows to be in the running for the prize

- leave a comment on this post and be a follower via google or bloglovin'
- tweet and/or blog about the competition and leave a comment letting me know you did so for an additional entry

Enties will be open all month, closing October 31 at 12:59 AEST.  Open to everyone around the world!

Good luck and thanks for entering, I'll be back later this week after I complete a dreadful assignment! x

Anja Rubik for Giuseppe Zanotti AW2010/2011

I can't even tell you how much I love Anja & Zanotti shoes.  And the two of them together are perfection.

Sunday in the sun

I woke up on the 4th day of my flu feeling the worst I've felt yet but I didn't want to stay in bed feeling sorry for myself so I met with my girlfriends for a 5 hour (YES FIVE HOUR) lunch and gossip session at Campari by the water in the sunshine.  No need for a scarf or layers! Bliss.  Melbournians were out in force, anywhere beach side was bumper to bumper traffic.

Got these lovely flowers at the markets yesterday.  They smell divine.

Stella McCartney for Target - part deux

We've had 3 years to recover from the pandemonium that was the launch of the first Stella McCartney for Target collaboration.  I think that launch will go down in folklore.  Hoards of women wrestled one another for a silk top and maybe a dress.  The media made fun of it for months.  I distinctly that Saturday morning.  Doors opened at 8am but I decided to check out my local store at around 11am.  I was greeted by a pile of jersey t shirts sprawled through the store and empty racks upon empty racks and bewildered women fighting in the change rooms for any left over items.  A tiny little lady gave me a dress that she was clutching which was much too big for her.  It was silk, navy with long sleeves.  I still wear it on a regular basis.  It's held up pretty well.

A rather secretive launch was held in a sprawling mansion in Sydney last night, but Grazia magazine broke the news of the designer even before the guests had arrived.  One item I really love/want, but not sure I can face the crazy women again!

Wrap sweater love

I currently have an amazing, salmon pink, wool and cashmere, oversized wrap sweater on hold at Scanlan and Theodore while I try to justify it to myself and nut out how long it will take me to pay for it.  It's the last one in the store and it's waiting for me.  HELP!  Big cosy sweaters are a big love of mine because I can wear them all year round (I'm looking at you over air conditioned cinema/restaurant/shop/office).

I've polyvored this stunning Alexander Wang... I love the fact that you can wear it over a dress, leggings, jeans... Think I can justify TWO sweaters in a week?  The dollar is almost on par with the USD... gulp.

I have managed to fight off illnesses all winter.  My first winter in Melbourne I took 4 courses of antibiotics.  Getting out of bed was next to impossible.   I've mastered the weather now - dress warm and drink lots of warm fluids.  So why did I have to get sick now that spring has finally sprung?  Today is such a lovely day and the weekend is meant to be even nicer.  Yet here I am shivering under a blanket.

I've struggled to wear the military anorak during the winter.  Hopefully I can make it work in summer with shorts and dresses.  It looks way too masculine in winter - case in point!

We're off to see the wizard...

I have obsessively been searching for these Isabel Marant 'Poppy' shoes to no avail.  Dead end, after a dead end.  And always a pair or two on eBay, double the RRP and not in my size...

Isabel is such a classy lady.  She way underexposed, just the way I like it.
