L'OREAL SMOOTHING RESURFACING PRIMER

L'oreal is the buzz word this week isn't it?

I got a tiny sample in Vogue so tried it under my make up yesterday morning as I had the time.  When not using tinted moisturiser I use Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, which I love, except that I get a shiny face a few hours into my day no matter what the weather's like outside.

I had been running around all day and night in the head with no time to powder and when I got home after a 14 hour day, my face was shiny, EXCEPT for the t zone area where I had applied the primer!

Yes it retails for AUD39.95, while it's USD12.95 in the States (!!!!!!!!!) (which is about AUD15), so yes it's expensive for a pharmacy brand, but it does what it says it will a lot better than any other primer I tried.

I used the resurfacing one which goes on like a smooth cream and my foundation followed on nicely.  I've got myself a jar so I'll see how it goes as I continue to use it.

There are two product variations

1. SMOOTHING RESURFACING PRIMER

• Unique texture, fills fine lines and masks pores

• Skin looks smoother and feels resurfaced

• Ideal for normal to dry skin

1. ANTI-SHINE MATTIFYING PRIMER

• Wrinkles, open pores and fine lines disappear

• Beautiful matte, smooth and velvety finish

• Idea for oily to slightly oily skin

L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2010 -Runway 2 presented by Vogue

I was very excited for tonight's show featuring the creme de la creme of the new, young designers.  I am absolutely loving what everyone has been showing this week - minis, jackets, thigh high boots, studs, sequins.  Very very me.  I am feeling very inspired for the new season indeed.  Arnsdorf and Romance was Born were my favourite tonight.  Absolutely rocking!

Of course it's not all glamour,  it's very hot in Melbourne this week (31C) tonight, so literally running there from work in 5 inch heels was not fun, unfortunately I had no time to take any photos outside.

The front row was stunning - Ruby Rose was directly in front of me, very gorgeous, sweet and gracious.

I stayed in my seat as opposed to fighting in the photographer pitt which was so full tonight, so my photos are not from the best angle.  And I got to meet the gorgeous Lady Melbourne

Also,  my outfit is included tonight, by the time I got home last night, I looked like a truck had run me over and the photos looked terrible!

LMFF goody bag day 1... with a give away

As per my previous post LMFF got off to a great start.

But of course what's a fashion show without a goody bag, right?

L'oreal was generous and gifted a lovely bronze make up bag (the one I received in 2008 is on it's last legs, so perfect timing), along with some discount vouchers, a Collagen Filler lip treatment, Extra Volume Collagene mascara and a Glam Shine Volumizer gloss in the "Plum Addiction" colour.

The gloss is a purple glossy colour which does not suit my skintone, SO instead of it sitting in the bottom of my endless make up pit, I may as well give it away.

So the first night was a blast.  Despite the fact that it was hot and I had to run there in heels after work, the crowd was buzzing and well dressed.  The collections shown were pretty, with a touch edge - lots of embellishments and studs.

With the temperature hovering around 28C even at 8pm, the fashions sported by the attendees were more summer than fall - lots of minis.  But it was definitely all about the shoes!  Platforms, platforms, platforms!
