Pilates

I have been doing pilates on and off for a number of years now.  It is the only exercise that I don't dread doing for an hour and which does not make me look at the clock on the wall once!  I went back to class tonight and I had honestly forgotten how good it makes me feel... lean, long, calm and energised!  And not to mention the muscles I got to use that I'd forgotten had existed!  I stopped going earlier this year as the instructor was not teaching me anything or motivating me.  The new girl tonight was fabulous.   I'll be going back for sure.

  1. Have yet to try pilates, but I'm a trained ballet dancer. I also horse-ride twice weekly and I enjoy walking, too. Must try and see if Pilates is for me;-)
    Have a sweet week.

  4. Do you do a group class? reformer or mat only? i was doing reformer pilates in a semi-private session (2 people each class) but I couldn't stomach the cost every month after the hubs was laid-off last year. Then I got carpal tunnel so I'm afraid to go back. It was a great exercise that I never dreaded though!

  5. I am with you 100% of the way. Pilates is such a stress reliever and overall healthy exercise. You burn mad calories and feel so amazing afterward!

I've never done pilates before, but a friend of mine does and she thinks it's brilliant! I'll definitely have a go at it myself... :)

  7. The fab thing about pilates is that during the world out, you can make it as hard or as easy as you wish.. yet you're still sore the next day and you realise that you used muscles you never knew existed (hello obliques!!)
