Bali... the revisit

The natural disasters prevented me from sharing my trip to Bali with you all... I only had the internet connected last night after the rewiring.  My Macbook hasn't been turned on in 6 weeks.

You've probably seen the post about Ayana Resort but there's so much more to Bali.  It's hard to put into words.  In the west, we are taught to think that someone wants something when they're being nice.  In Bali everyone is always nice.  It takes a while getting used to.  And you can't wipe the smile from their face.

There are amazing bars, restaurants and resorts.  Sadly the Balinese architecture is making way for the modern luxuries.

5 days wasn't nearly enough.  Cannot wait to go back.

I love your colorful dress in the last few photos. I've never been to Bali, we always go to the Philippines to visit family instead. The same goes there with happiness, everyone is always happy 24/7. I love it.

So glad you're back in internet land, looking forward to future posts.

  10. Love all these bali photos and the ayana post!
when i went to bali last time it rained a lot too!
im going back soon and hoping to stay at the ayana.
it looks pretty booked out though!
    must be quite popular.

i was the same as your partner with bali.
when i arrived i was like wth get me out of here.
it smells weird the cars are mental.
the taxi stand at the airport was mental.
but then after you stay for a bit you really get won over by the balinese people.
    they're so nice.
