Weekend in Daylesford...

We ran away from the rat race and spent the weekend in Daylesford, the "spa capital of Australia", which is about 1.5 hours drive out of Melbourne.  It was B's birthday and it's been a while since our last holiday, so this little overnight trip hit the spot.

The twin towns of Daylesford and Hepburn are tiny with nothing to do but sleep, eat and enjoy spa treatments!

The bed&breakfast had no TV, so lots of pajama and magazine time for me.

The view from bed!

Wood fired pizza at Koukla for dinner on Saturday night.

Flourless chocolate tart with ice cream, cream & berry coulis, we shared!

Braved the bitter cold this morning for a walk around the lake.  Note my new purchase - silk, loose, harem-usque trousers from Scanlan & Theodore!

MK2K faux fur vest
Scanlan & Theodore babywool knit

Country Road wool/alpaca scarf

My outstretched feet in the sun room at Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa.  B and I spent the whole afternoon here and I treated him to some treatments as a surprise for his birthday.  Before his treatments we hopped between the various pools in the bathhouse/sactuary... relaxation pool, spa, salt water pool, steam room... While he was pampered I snoozed and sipped cups of herbal tea.  Tough life.

This one was my favourite pools - a louge chair with jetstreams underneath, working on the knots in all the right places... neck, lower back and legs.  Bliss!

The below photo is of the salt pool, taken from the website.  All photos above are mine.

Hope everyone's weekend was as relaxing as mine! x

  4. There is nothing more fabulous or rejuvenating than an impromptu weekend away!

My boyfriend and I made a quick jaunt to Wiseman's Ferry over the weekend and it was BEAUTIFUL. Daylesford is definitely on my to-do list!
